Alive and Streaming! The MilBillies' debut LP

When The MilBillies embarked upon their debut album, their goal was a recording environment where they could respond to each other in the moment, picking up on cues and allowing their music to flow organically.

We positioned microphones around the band, capturing the natural sound of the instruments. Vocals were saved until the end and overdubs and re-takes were kept to a minimum. After mixing, we shipped it over to Justin Perkins at Mystery Room Mastering for his usual skillful work.

The results are an album that captures the energy and drive of The MilBillies’ rambunctiously fun live performances — perfect for our current Covid reality.
